- Xenial kernel has been re-spun to fix a bug found on the SMB3 encription for CIFS and to add two follow-up fixes for CVE-2017-1000364. The following kernels are in the process of being promoted to -proposed for testing as of now: Xenial 4.4.0-87.110 xenial/linux-raspi2 4.4.0-1064.72 xenial/linux-snapdragon 4.4.0-1066.71 xenial/linux-aws 4.4.0-1025.34 xenial/linux-gke 4.4.0-1021.21 trusty/linux-lts-xenial 4.4.0-87.110~14.04.1
- Yakkety EOL As Yakkety EOL’s this Thursday (Jul 20), the kernel update from the last cycle (4.8.0-59.64) will be the last one published by the Stable Team.
Devel Kernel Announcements
We intend to target a 4.13 kernel for the Ubuntu 17.10 release. The artful kernel is now based on Linux 4.11. The Ubuntu 17.10 Kernel Freeze is Thurs Oct 5, 2017.
