Ubuntu 25.04 (Plucky Puffin) reaches End of Life on 15th January 2026
Florent ‘Skia’ Jacquet reminds us that Ubuntu 25.04 [an interim release] was released back on 17 April 2025, and will thus reach its end of life in a few days. We’re given details of what this means, a link so users can understand how they can upgrade their systems to Ubuntu 25.10, and more.

London called, and the world answered: creating a Summit without borders
Mauro Gaspari writes about the Ubuntu Summit 25.10. Mauro gives us a brief comparison between the in-person events of the past, and what happened at this online summit, featuring Lorenzo’s Music, Sylvia Ritter’s artwork, and “audacious talks”. This year’s Summit was presented as extended events held all around the globe. A number of photos are shown, a brief glimpse is given of some of the talks, before a thank you is given to everyone who was involved. The post closes with mention of the coming Ubuntu Summit 26.04, giving us a link to submit a talk proposal.
